Follow Jesse On April 24th 2015, a storm developed near Hays, Kansas….and the chaser convergence was intense. Many of us followed this beast in the general I-70 corridor as it rolled east with brief “tornado”, funnels, and gustnado types of events, and hail. Many images later, I made it back to Salina, Kansas ahead of it as it turned into a huge, massive, triple-stack shelf formation extending for miles. Although it was rather windy, I made this capture near the I-70/ I-135 intersection of that area. It was still pretty mean here, and the orange-pink lightning is somewhat visible in this frame after sunset…..#3 Wade Robberson (246 Likes)

The Ponds of Summerville, SC. Photo taken right after a heavy thunderstorm and sun setting on misty pond. About two minutes earlier the sky was golden. Then it started to turn a pinkish hue. This view lasted less than two minutes, so I just got lucky.
