Epic lightning during the golden hour at Myakka State Park, Florida Thursday night. Drove right under this storm as it was developing and happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Just one of many epic bolts and crawlers from the most incredible crawler display I’ve ever seen. The sun hadn’t even set on a somewhat frustrating day in extreme south west Texas when the anvil from a weakening supercell near Dryden, Texas became the main event. June 1st 2013.

Couple CGs captured at the end of a storm chase near Bismarck, North Dakota back on July 5. Taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and a EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM at 70mm, f/7.1, ISO 250. Even at 10:30 p.m. there still so much residual twilight that I had to do no more than 10 second exposures.

What better place to have a Mothership than to be over Roswell, New Mexico! 6/7/14.

6/7/14 near Kim, CO. This storm was nearly stationary for about 1 hour. We did see a funnel with this and I captured one while taking shots for a pano which is undetermined if it made contact with the ground or not.
