Follow Brad Wide angle of the mature stage of an incredible long-lived supercell west of Limon on June 7th 2012. I was very close at this point and was struggling to stand up in the extreme inflow. The broadscale rotation was amazing and the beaver tail seemed to stretch all the way to Kansas!

Follow Francis This picture is a good example of why I chase storms and not just tornadoes exclusively. I enjoy the power and the chaotic ingredients that come together to produce a structured, breathing (inflow) and exhaling (outflow) organism in the sky that isn’t bound by roads and that is beyond our control. An untamable and yet majestic wild phenomenon of nature that only happens in spring/summer here in the prairies. This day had a near zero probability of a tornado but still was an incredible day that I was able to capture forever. A brief moment in time where nature was at its most violent, spending its energy, and I was able to capture it. Makes me wonder what 2015 has in store for all of us…….
