There’s nothing like a radar rotation icon showing up exactly where the rotation is…the sudden strengthening and the development of a new cell on the flanking line drops a rotating wallcloud. A new surge of the RFD is starting to wrap around the wall in the distance.Up to date radar is worth its wait in monthly subscriptions especially when mesocyclones become rapidly rainwrapped. Tornado on May 27, 2015 in Canadian, TX off of US 83. We were on a hill and the view was spectacular!

A cloud to ground lightning strike frames a tornado warned supercell in Canadian, Tx. last week. I was able to enjoy the storm and the four tornadoes that it produced without having to leave the area.
