Follow Jason Heading out tonight to the High Plains with an IMAX crew to search for lightning. I love supercells and tornadoes (and we will be looking for those too), but lightning is what pulled me in to this sort of thing. Looking forward to a summer of focusing on nothing but channels of electricty, less than an inch wide and 5x hotter than the surface of the sun. Here is a shot from my first Plains lightning storm in Enid, Oklahoma on May 19, 2011.
