“Lightning Lasso” - Taken tonight around midnight just North of Fairfield, Iowa, Near the Airport. This is the first time I have been able to capture a full branch with CG in this shape. Makes up for not getting to my target area for the tornadic cells earlier in the evening.

“Dumb Luck” I was really on the fence about going out for photos since I had been running around all day and wanted to relax. But I decided to give it a shot, while I left my apartment I looked over and saw this really cool red glow that instantly got my attention and I hurried up across town. As I pulled off by the tracks since I didn’t want to lose this epic lighting I started snapping photos. Sadly, all the lightning was hidden by rain, I then mumbled to myself “Come on, please give me one good bolt” then 5 seconds later boom! Close range CG hits just down the tracks while the sky is a heavenly orange!
