This is my 2015 Geminids meteor shower shot. There was this old farmhouse outside of Petrolia that I wanted to do some light painting with so we drove out to the location and shot all night hoping to catch some meteors. This is a 42 image time stack composite showcasing the best meteors of the night. I was really pleased how it came out and I definitely plan to come back to this spot again.

This cell moved east of Warwick on the Southern Downs, Qld on Friday afternoon. It went on to dump a huge amount of rain and hail near the great dividing range.

The Geminid meteor shower peaked this past Sunday night and I was fortunate enough to have access to shoot a 1941 T6 Texas that was stationed in Pearl Harbor beneath beautiful dark, crisp, clear skies in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Here is my final image from spending about 5 hours outside shooting the shower and then layering in the best and brightest meteors that occurred over the the aircraft into one final shot. Shot using a Nikon D810 and Nikon 14-24mm lens. Settings: ISO 1600 - F2.8 - 30″. Hope you all enjoy!
