“After the Storm” Lake Macquarie - Newcastle Australia 05 Nov 14. What an incredible day! After spending the afternoon chasing a severe storm that smashed Newcastle, I was driving home and noticed that the back of the storm was now clear of the horizon….maybe a chance for some colour!. Lake Macquarie is not far from home, so I detoured down the the jetty at Warners Bay and set up. They jetty is quite a popular spot for sunset photos, so I couldn’t believe I had it all to myself. Fingers crossed…. Well, the show that followed was quite spectacular and was certainly worth the detour. I even had a lone seagull fly into shot and land right in the middle of the jetty.
