Follow Adam As a historic level of cold air last night turned Michigan into Siberia I was treated to scenes not seen often here. At -18 the chimney steam turned into a type of striated ribbon stratus clouds which were perfectly illuminated by various colored street lights.Taken in Spring Arbor MI at 2:50am.

Follow Michelle Curious to know , if at the point of contact where lightning at water meets if there would be an explosion of water and spray. Would there’s be a ripple effect … Hmmm ? Thor , on your next visit mate, would you be so kind as to dump one in the drink for me , cheers mate.. A few metres behind the wave line be good aye..

Expecting the next partial sun eclipse on March 20th this year. This shot of a 70% sun eclipse was taken trough low stratus clouds on January 4th 2011 south of Bonn, Germany. Because of the clouds a filter was needless.
