May 28, 2004 in NE Nebraska. An epic storm and one of my favorite supercell structures of all time, plus it was my first good photo opportunity with the newfangled Nikon D70 digital camera. Mike Hollingshead’s shots of this storm were pirated as everything from Hurricane Katrina to volcanic eruptions. I have some pics similar to his, but this one is a bit different and maybe my favorite with the road and the “fingers” of scud.
