Taken April 27th 2014. This was a day i wont forget in a hurry. I planned on chasing the High risk in Arkansas this day, but as i didn’t know the area very well or have a navigator, i decided to head back into Oklahoma. I was driving back NW towards I-35 from SE Oklahoma when some towering cumulus went up ahead of the dryline. 30 minutes later i was sitting on the west side of a huge squall line with sunset approaching. Ive been waiting years for a shot like this. I took close to 200 photographs during the sunset to get the right color. I was thrilled with the outcome. The only thing i regret is not doing a timelapse.

‘Bob’s Road’. Like a scene straight out of Twister. A tornado, a 2 lane Oklahoma road, and of course the red Dodge Ram. This was from one of the most hated ‘High Risk’ days by many chasers, April 26, 2009. It was an amazing day for those who choose wisely.

After intercepting a strong supercell near Billings we witnessed a truly incredible anvil lightning barrage as we drove east through eastern Montana. This is a wide angle shot on a full frame camera so you can imagine how close it struck! 13th June 2013.
