We drove over 1000km to our target and arrived just in time to watch this storm become a supercell and go nuts. We stopped south of the mesocyclone to watch as the storm entered what we thought may have been a tornadic stage. We were treated to an amazing lightning show and incredible timelapse video near West Point, Nebraska. 14th June 2013.

Sadly I have no more storm images and with our season here in SE QLD at an end will have to sit back and enjoy everyone else’s images as you guys enter your season.. So instead here is a star trail taken from a trip to the beautiful top end of Australia in Litchfield National Park.. Buley Waterhole. 100x 30sec exp stacked in starstax.. You can see the glow from the moon on the top right hand side..

I posted the back side of this shelf cloud yesterday, and went back today and found a shot of the front side. This was one of the coolest shelf clouds that I have seen pass through town here. Unfortunately it was almost overhead already before I was able to grab my camera and run out somewhere more open to see it.
