4-11-15 Isolated Supercell north of Amarillo, TX. I hectically tried to get a look inside the notch of this HP beast for over an hour… when I finally gave up, this was the view I was treated to. Lesson learned: Sometimes you just have to hang back and admire the scenery.

Particularly interesting cloud above Tampa this evening. Description from pilot.. “explosive dynamics at work in a fast growing convective event… showing .. tiered structures, pileus, lenticulars, stria and multicellular nature of this beast, while also showing off midlevel circulation and the advection (lateral shelf) aloft

This has got to be one of the most amazing supercell structures that we have ever seen!!!! The stupendous wallcloud spins and generates a funnel on its southeast quadrant (the notch)….this storm was one of the most amazing vacuum cleaners we have ever seen, we think it was sucking dust and tumbleweeds fro Oklahoma! When you think you’ve seen it all, Kansas throws this storms at us! We love Kansas!! North of Rolla, SW KS 11th April, 2015
