June 27, 2013 - Kansas Dust Monster - I’ve seen derechoes and haboobs, but this line moving south out of Wichita, KS was probably the most dusty storm I’ve ever witnessed. It was moving fast, too. It took me almost an hour to get back ahead of it south of Wichita to get this. Each time I’d get ahead of it, I would have about 2 minutes to shoot before it blasted past me again. Rinse and repeat all the way home.
