Follow Jesse After my storm intercepts in Union City and OKC region on March 25th, and tghe Moore tornado event, I carried on into the night chasing hail cores across central Okl. After many events, I ended up in Antlers, OK around 3 am and did what I like to do best….stalk the storm from behind and capture crawlers! This ONE IMAGE of 2 seconds shutter, ISO 80 and f/4.5 blew my mind when it all finally fell into place. I’ve chased lightning storms for over 20 years and never had one of these “spider-web lightning” images of less than a second, captured eternally. This image went on to catpivate over 10,000 LIKEs on Reed Timmer’s photo-of-the-day event yesterday#7 Chris Colvin (157 Likes)

Seriously one of the most dramatic sunsets I’ve ever photographed. The horizon looks like it is ablaze as severe storms cruise through the countryside. Taken on 3/31/2015 in Gould, OK. Nikon L830.
