Follow Chris Very bright perseid meteor last night as seen from near Kulmbach (northern bavaria/ germany). It was so bright that there were actually shadows of obstacles and stuff. The glowing lasted for about 30 seconds, after the meteor disappeared. It was really exciting!

Follow Gary Monsoon in the Sonoran Desert was full force this evening. This was taken at 8:50pm Aug. 11. At 9pm the NWS Sent out a dust storm warning. You can see in the left horizon the dust building up. About 9:15 I was running to my truck to beat the dust. Glad I made the decision to run for the truck when I did cuz as soon as I got to my truck the dust hit hard.
