Follow Eric This was taken last week in between tornadoes here in Colorado. This storm had the characteristics of a Dyson vacuum it was sucking up so much dirt from the fields. It was incredible to watch!#2 Mike ONeill (302 Likes)
Follow Mike Offshore thunderstorm Darwin NT 2014. Photogenic structure as the storm produced as many as 12 of these flashes. The rain curtain added some nice contrast to what was a wonderful hour of shooting.#3 Jay Bell (284 Likes)
Follow Jay This is the first Supercell we intercepted on 5-10-14, after it moved east and reorganized. It formed near Atlanta, KS…..this shot was just north of Howard, KS.#4 Brett Nickeson (267 Likes)
Follow Brett The West Point, NE beast from 6/14/13. The most incredibly structured supercell I’ve seen to date. Need another one of these STAT!#5 Dave Eppley (220 Likes)
Follow Dave Working my way up through the archives. This one is from 2005. This one one storm that taught me a good lesson. Shooting from your driveway isn’t going to give you the best foreground, angle or distance…and that nice warm glow from the streetlight didn’t help either. I watched this storm develop for a long time before sunset, so I had plenty of time to get someplace with a better view. Shot with a Canon 20D and Sigma 15-30mm lens at 15mm. f/8, 8 seconds at ISO 400. Every storm is a learning experience. If you’re not happy with what you got, figure out why and change it next time.#6 Marko Korosec (180 Likes)
