After going out on a chase a couple of nights ago and thinking it was going to be a bust, with the lighting all wrapped in the rain and only seeing flashes, we waited out the rain and let the storm go over us. With this being the pay for waiting, I think it was well worth it. I caught this one just out side of Mesa, AZ, just after midnight on the 9th of July!

Picture from 2012 clearly defined rain free portion of this storm. The left side was a huge rotating wall cloud. Ended up blasting east shortly after picture. East option ended up turning into a cattle path with only a North option could barely see about 5 feet was raining so hard luckily there was a yard within a hundred yards pulled in for some shelter. Then got Kinda scary Not 100 percent sure but pretty sure there ended up being a rain wrapped tornado that went just north of where we took shelter(scary not being able to see). 1 hour later was back in front and cell produced another small tornado. One of the few times that I was some what scared chasing.
