This is just off of highway 222 about a mile north of Goree Texas on May 30th 2012. I had never seen striations like this before.

Stunning splitting supercell near Deer Trail, CO, on 6/4/2014. This is the anticyclonic split here with a combination of rotating anticyclonic wall cloud with a shelf cloud being blown from left to right in the photo

Bradenton Beach, Florida 7-16-14. The most intense lightning I’ve ever witnessed….and I have about 30 or 40 completely blown out shots after this one to prove it, lol. This one and a few others turned out okay from a distance offshore but the lightning was pulsating and firing like crazy and I unfortunately had the wrong aperture set even after running out and changing it a few times. Hopefully the next time I get in such a great position to meet such an intense storm I get it right. It was still incredible to watch and hear! The thunder was earth shaking. First time I’ve ever been legit afraid photographing lightning

I love going back and re-processing images. This image is a very special one, due to being only one of 3 lightning storms Perth, Western Australia saw during Summer 2013-2014. This shot I captured from San Remo Lookout on the morning of November 4th back in 2013. It was a storm which formed from the North West and slowly tracked its way over the coastal areas just west offshore from Rockingham, at first it was only looking to be quite small however as it got closer to the coast it really started to fire up, between the hours of 1am and 5am (Sunrise) i ended up with over 400 images, over 300 of those contained lightning strikes!
