Follow Haeli “Kaleidoscope” Went out on a Summer night to attempt to take pictures of lightning as there were some small thunderstorms in the area. I drove to a small nearby lake and got rained on , then the clouds blew away in another direction, exposing the light pollution of Edmonton. I was wet, cold and very disappointed. Then without notice the Aurora appeared from under and beneath the clouds , that rolled back just enough to see the stars. My disappointment turned to delight as I was able to capture this kaleidoscope of colors. My persistence and stubbornness were rewarded. Shows how fast things can change.#9 Daniel Bride (111 Likes)
Follow Daniel Something a little different… I had the camera pointing closer to the horizon to take some shots with a bit of foreground, then looked above and saw a corona shooting down. I pointed the camera vertically to capture it and this was the image. Do you see what I see? Iceland, Dec 2014#10 Nicole Jonutz (108 Likes)
