Zach Roberts-Pueblo West Colorado
Owner/Lead Chaser
I am a financial adviser, photographer, loving father & husband, Bronco maniac and weather geek. I grew up in Littleton CO and watched storms roll off of the foothills onto the Eastern plains. I would wait on my roof for hours on end, hoping that a storm would form. I attended college at Metropolitan State in downtown Denver, where I earned a BS in finance. After college, I gained extensive experience as a financial adviser for several companies. What does this have to do with storm chasing? As a financial adviser, I have always been my own boss, and was free to leave for a chase at the drop of a hat. After receiving an offer from Allstate to handle financial planning for their Southern Colorado clients, my family and I were off to Pueblo West. I have extensive storm chasing knowledge (200 chases), and I have gained all of my forecasting skills from my own studies. Often, I am chasing in my own backyard, as Colorado has some of the most dynamic storm structures. I like to keep things simple, and I do not use fancy equipment or expensive vehicle's (although I did just purchase a professional camera). I mostly chase solo, but my main chase partners are my wife (Hannah), and my step daughter (Jade). My youngest daughter (Ava) and my baby boy (Carter) are not quite ready. Ava will tell me "daddy I am not goin storm chasin". I love my family, I love my career and I am very blessed.
