Follow Jason “The Day Before the Day” Pretty miraculous that we caught this tornado outside Granfield, KS, on 5/22/2008 (near Quinter). This tornado was moving north at close to 50 mph-we approached from I-70 eastbound and thread the needle into the RFD and came out to see this as it ripped north. The friend of the guy who owns that farm saw our photos the next afternoon at lunch and said that there was no damage. Pretty nifty to get to chat about that at a random cafe.
