I’ve already posted a couple of photos from this memorable day.. probably my all time favourite day ever, but I couldn’t resist posting this one. The famous Arcadia, NE supercell on May 26 last year. It’s 5 vertical photos stitched into a pano when we stopped pretty close to being under the meso as it was winding up.. Very surreal experience.

After school one fall day a friend and I noticed a pretty impressive storm developing to our east. We had our cameras in the car already just in case something developed that day. As we approached the storm we realized it had a solid wall cloud on it. We rushed east in hopes of a spin up and the storm did not disappoint. This was taken on I-64 looking east just outside of Okawville, IL on 9-25-12.

This huge simultaneous discharge over Melbourne, Australia freaked me out! I saw one huge instantaneous flash with my eyes and figured I caught one bolt but in fact there were 5 ground contacts - 30th Nov 2009
