Absolutley amazing colour on sunset tonight here in Newcastle Australia. I chased a few cells throughout the afternoon….with only a couple of small bolts to show for it (soooo need a trigger!!), but capturing this colour just as the sun hit the horizon made the afternoons chase worthwhile!

Sunset storm porn!! I took this lil’ beauty last Tuesday 28/10 near a little town called Dalarnil - Qld Australia. 8-16mm Sigma lens on 650D canon and my trusty old patchmaster lightning trigger. (this my my secondary camera, missed it all together with the main one) Happy days…Enjoy.

last winter had its limitations for photo ops because you either couldn’t get out the patio door because it was froze shut or wading through 2′ of snow wasn’t possible with -30 wind chills so one has to come up with a creative way to take a pic so why not photograph a sun halo this way? Taken in Spring Arbor MI on a very cold January 8th 2014 from the kitchen.

Sept. 2014 sunset during a break between 2 monsoon storms. Lake Havasu city, Az at Colorado River. This is actually fog that crept over the mountain got about half way down and receded really fast back down other side. Was amazing to watch because fog is very rare here . We usually only get it in winter months a couple times a year
