Every couple years Salt Lake City, Utah gets a really good storm that has a great looking shelf cloud. this one stretched from the Wasatch mountains out past Stansbury island 40+ miles. it was thin only lasted about 30 min then it was sunny.

Belt of Venus Rainbow. Bar Beach Newcastle - 07 Dec 14. A storm had pushed off the coast last Sunday just on sunset and the falling rain resulted in this rainbow appearing. Due to the time of day, the rainbow also picked up that BOV colour. It is something I have never seen before and I was very happy I was there to capture it.
