while chasing in the Texas panhandle in May 2007, we saw a lowering form, potentially the start of a wallcloud, though there was no rotation at that moment… I shot one photo of it, just in case it might become the start of a bigger event… and by pure luck just then I caught a lightning bolt, despite the very short exposure time of 1/350 sec. !!! ( camera Canon EOS 350D, lens Canon EF 50/1.4 at f/4, ISO 400, exposure bias - 0.50, resulted in 1/350 sec. exposure time ). I never shot accidental lightning with such a short exposure time. No lightning trigger used.
