The sandhills of Nebraska finally give us a break to reveal a picturesque white cone tornado underneath a striated updraft. I bolted out of the car into the hail to snap this quick shot before retreating back with a soaking camera. One of the most amazing sights I have witnessed in my 7 years of chasing. June 17, 2014 Mullen, Nebraska

Second pair of twin tornadoes on June 16th. This was shot as the rope tornado is sling shot around the parent tornado at over 90mph and get eaten as the Wakefield tornado eventually turns into a monster wedge EF4 tornado and the fourth EF4 of the day

Today’s weather pic from me comes from July 31st 2012. I have taken many many lightning pics over the years but this one was unforgettable. I was shooting through a screen in the bedroom upstairs patiently for 3 hours and got nothing and was ready to call it quits around 4am when 2 extremely intense CG bolts happened. The one in the front is as close as it looks and was so incredibly bright. Represents the only time in 20 years I had been momentarily flash blinded. Had it not been for the screen filtering some light the pic would of been washed out. Look close, there is a streamer coming off of the Weeping Willow. This is as close to lightning as I ever care to get.

Was chasing storms at Lake Okeechobee, Florida tonight and the storm died out. Instead caught the Milky Way with the moonrise and the dying storm
