05.29.13: Fast moving shelf cloud near Wheeler, TX. The speed limit sign says it all. We were heading north before darting east at 70 mph, and for a good while, it stayed in the exact same position in my mirror. Notice the dirt stripe along the leading edge, which made for some interesting tones/contrast.

“Chasing the Beast” - This is an oldie but goodie from May 12 2005, near South Plains in the TX Panhandle. This tornado became very photogenic, as it was pushed SE out of the hail core….unfortunately, the hail came next! This was the last known photo of our chase vehicle without any dents in it. About 10 minutes later, this storm unleashed a barrage of softball-size hail that “remodeled” our vehicle, as well as many others!

8-9-2014 Junction City, KS the only CG hit i got. After this one everything was internal CC lightning. one of the more beautiful shots i have gotten.
