Follow Peter So jetting across the pond for my annual pilgrimage to Tornado Alley & a shot from this years chase-cation. The sun was getting low & a developing storm caught mine & my chase buddy Dave’s eye as we were headed back south towards Oklahoma. The conversation went a bit like this. Dave “Oooo that looks quite pretty, maybe we should stop & try & shoot some lightning” Me “I was thinking the exact same thing, where shall we go? I don’t want to stop here on this road as there’s nothing interesting, we need to find a barn or something”. Driving frantically looking for a location with something interesting before the Sun got too low & the light lost I spot a sign on the side of the road. “How about Chimney Rock, will that do?” We both grinned like idiots & raced to it & set ourselves up & started shooting. The funny thing was, back in 09 we’d visited Chimney rock & said how cool it’d be to get a storm over the formation. Only 5 years in the making. Hope you like.#7 Lori Ferguson (100 Likes)
