Two years ago today in 2012.. Probably the biggest hail that I’ve ever seen with some stones up to the size of cricket balls! (just a tiny bit smaller than baseballs). It crossed directly over the main highway and left a few cars with smashed windscreens and broken windows. This storm developed on a pretty marginal day in Lismore and Pottsville, NSW Australia but a southerly wind change came through at the perfect time of day and opened the window for this very “green” supercell that had hail written all over it from this point onwards!
