I have had many people swear this was from the movie Twister, well it may certainly look like the F5 at the end of the movie, this was a EF4 in Shawnee, OK on may 19th 2013.

The famous LP supercell on 5-26-13 near Ansley, NE. This was the first year I chased with a DSLR but didn’t shoot in RAW and barely had a clue what I was doing. I was lucky the storm was so photogenic.

5-24-2014. Near Big Lake, TX Greenage approaches Chris Chittick and crew. Road network made it very tough to observe what this storm was producing in the Inflow Notch. The green and incredibly intense RFD Gustfront did a very good job of blocking the view of the Tornado Warned circulation in the updraft. If you wanted a view that day you had to earn it with risky roads and the prospects of encountering huge hail.

On the 3rd December 2008, sultry conditions gave way to violent afternoon supercells in SE Qld, Australia. This storm had some amazing structure, colours and crazy bolts from the vault region that were rather close at times! Here’s one of the closer bolts I managed on this day west of Ipswich as it was dropping golf ball sized hail.

South East Queensland, Australia has some awesome topography. Taken from the Great Dividing Range looking towards the East (14/12/13) These severe warned cells produced frequent lightning, strong winds and large hail. What an amazing sight

August 7 2013, Arthur Ontario. Here the tornado is at its mature stage over open fields; this thing was a total drill bit but, thankfully, didn’t hit a thing

Again, I hope this qualifies under the guidelines. This is our reward in the Chicago suburbs for not getting the awesome weather you folks out west get.
