Some close offshore lightning last month in Jacobs Well, Australia. These were pretty low topped and it was too dry on the mainland for things to really get going. But as soon as the sun went down tho, one of the best lightshows I’ve seen in a long time came out nowhere and went nuts out over the water!

This is the infamous Bennington, Kansas storm from May 28th, 2013. After the tornado began to wrap in rain, this storm took on some spectacular HP structure. Top 5 favorite chase!

Partial Solar Eclipse as seen from London Ontario earlier this evening. Surprised I was able to get any foreground in this shot as I only had an ND filter handy. Bumping up the shadows caused a bit of noise, but I’m still happy with the result.

Partial solar eclipse in Cheyenne, WY. Canon 70d, Sigma 150-500 at 500mm and cropped, f7.1 and 1/1000. I used my telescope’s solar filter and put it over the end of my lens. We had on and off clouds but I got quite a few clear shots. Fun!!
