This is the second Pilger “Twin” as it passed over a small community near Pilger that gave it an EF-4 Rating. I did not even notice this damage when chasing due to being busy finding roads. Stumbled upon this photo just last night. You can see the raw power and destruction, yet beauty a tornado has. If you look to the right, you can see major ground scarring.

April 22nd, 2011 mammatus display just south of Norman, OK. I had just left work and tried to make up for lost time while missing the Byars, OK tornado. The color on this at sunset was ridiculous.

This sunset from back in April was so pretty but I wanted a different way to photograph than the typical wide shot so looking out my bedroom window I framed it with this nicely shaped Burr Oak. I love the silhouettes of trees against sunsets.
