Winter lightning never looked so clear and beautiful. Not your typical thunderstorm with fog and low clouds. Looked like a mid summer night 2 days before Christmas!

A supercell that had some amazing structure, about to overtake a house in southwest Kansas, This supercell was dropping baseball size hail at the time of the photo. This part of Kansas was also in an exceptional drought at the time. Taken:06/01/2014
