Follow Terry Hi everyone,I would like to write something and if you wish to remove it i fully understand Zach. I am posting this photo for a very special reason. Last Friday morning, 2-1-15 at 3am I lost my beautiful wife. She passed away at home. I want to post this because 9 hrs earlier this was the last photo she ever took. She was so excited because this was the first time she had set the camera herself, positioned it and captured lightning. It is real, the first bolt she could truly say was her own.My Angel loved life. She loved nature, all forms of it, she loved sunsets and rises, she loved rain and cold and she totally loved storms because she saw how excited i would get when we could chase. each afternoon, when she would get of work she would sit down with me to look at Mr Twister because she loved the photo’s and the way you designed your page, Zach. She was an aged care enrolled nurse and it was not a job to her, it was a calling and I realize that now from the wonderful response i have had from her workplace. My Angel and i were together for 30yrs. I am such a lucky man to have had the honor of not only knowing but loving her and her beautiful and funny way.She will now honor all of us when we are out chasing or shooting sunsets. When beautiful big rainbows flow across the skies my Angel will be sliding down them having fun.Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this.R.I.P Kathleen Parkinson 18-12-1955 to 02-01-15 I will never leave you. You will be with me in my heart.

Follow Adam Just took this pic in Spring Arbor MI looking NE towards a heavy lake effect snow shower. What I love about lake effect snow showers is the highly convective appearance tot he clouds. Gotta also love the sky blue reflecting back onto the snow too.#5 Sharon Leatham (145 Likes)
Follow Sharon Lightning at Redhead beach, NSW Australia. This was my first time shooting lightning. The storm was so bad that I was actually too scared to even get out of the car and run to where I had to shoot this from, but eventually I overcame my fear and ran to the safety of the surf lifesaving club’s verandah. When this bolt hit, the earth below me really shook , so I was very pleased to get this shot. Now I find myself hoping for more storms
