Follow Tracey BAM!!! My FIRST tornado!!!!! 4/9/2015, approx 6pm: NW Illinois - this was by Rochelle. HUGE-ass wedge. I was chasing with a very well-trained friend. I felt dizzy and sick to my stomach - it was massive. I’m still a bit shook up. If THIS doesn’t get me in the top ten, then I quit, LOL!

Our target area for today(I guess yesterday now) was around the Ponca, City area so we were on our way and we were almost there so we looked at the latest runs of the models and it showed stuff firing farther west so we booked it west and when we got there a storm blew up at the OK/KS border and a cell blew up further south in Ok! The one south went tornado warned and we were like should we go to it but it was a ways down there or stay up here because our storm was gaining strength! So we stayed and as we got closer to the Northern Storm it went tornado warned and presented this beautiful tornado! Hope you all enjoy!

Tough chase day yesterday (April 8, 2015)… but definitely rewarding! Caught this cone tornado southeast of Coldwater, Kansas, at around 6:20 last evening.. We could confirm it on the ground for about 5 to 10 mins… It was distant (prob 8 or 10 miles away) but pretty!! First tornado of the year for me
