Tonight’s storm was intense. I was able to put together this composite of lightning bolts before I was chased to cover. This was looking north from near downtown Colorado Springs. 06/28/2015

” The Beast ” Flagler Beach, FL 6/25/15 One of the most photogenic shelf clouds I have ever seen. I took many shots of this beast but this 1 seemed to pop out more both in color and structure. Enjoy

I took this photo as this storm was finally starting to wind down. I made the decision to get on this storm near Bowling Green, MO and followed it all the way into Columbia, IL. It produced a tornado in Eolia, MO and one in St. Peters, MO while dropping torrential rain fall and golf ball sized hail along the way. At one point, I was in the outer circulation of the Eolia, MO tornado. I’ll post a radar grab in the comment section. What a chase!

The first sunset tonight since almost a week without one. Thanks to the higher winds in the upper atomsphere the clouds were moving fast above the sky
