Monster anvil crawler/CG discharge during a severe thunderstorm over the South Alligator River, Northern Territory Australia. This all unleashed at once, setting off a huge chain reaction across sky. It was impossible to capture it all in frame even with a 14mm ultra wide lens on a full frame camera. Taken on the 27th Jan 2013.

This is the full bolt from my last post. I think it’s a good capture, but I think the cropped version is more dramatic and shows the bat better, too.

Thanksgiving weekend sunrise. I had a house full of people; making breakfast. Looked up and ran out in my jammies to get this shot. Eastern Colorado on our farm.

Here is a shot from what was left of a supercell that initiated southwest of Cross Plains,Tx. At this point it was gusting out near Comanche,Tx. March 15th,2014 was a good start to the new season for me.

In the evening of October 4th 2013 a large MCS developed over southern France. During the night hours it moved straight eastward while intensifying. The thunderstorm crossed the Golfe du Lion, the Provence, the Côte d’Azur and finally the Ligurian Sea until the broad line of heavily electrified storms reached Tuscany with very heavy rain.

Congrats Everyone!
